Candidate Survey
2007 Survey of New Jersey
Senate and Assembly Candidates was developed in conjunction with
NJTA’s recently announced Legislator Report Card Initiative It
is designed to provide New Jersey voters with candidate positions on
key issues that will significantly affect taxes, spending, debt and
regulatory burdens imposed on New Jersey residents and taxpayers.
The survey was mailed to all 262 candidates; requesting incumbents
and challengers to provide their positions as they relate to the
following issues:
- INCREASE OF SALES AND USE TAX
- OFFICE OF INDEPENDENT STATE
COMPTROLLER
- PUBLIC EMPLOYEE BENEFITS REFORM
- PROPERTY TAX REFORM
- SCHOOL CHOICE
- BALLOT INITIATIVE (INITIATIVE &
REFERENDUM)
